Free Knitting Pattern - Handspun Popcorn Lace Cowl

July 08, 2013

This is a super fun and quick beginner lace project designed specifically for thread plied handspun yarn. I used my Rainbow Handspun Yarn in Pastel, but you can try any self striping, or bulky yarn- just be sure to get the correct gauge  If you are a spinner, spin your own yarn using one of my Merino Wool Spinners Pack in either Pastel Rainbow or Bright Rainbow.

Designed to be worn purl side out, this cowl looks almost crocheted! It is lightweight to wear and makes a great gift!

Popcorn Lace cowl modeled by my dramatic 6 year old daughter.

June's Color of the Month
June's Color of the Month "Miss Rumphius"

June 06, 2020

June's Color of the Month is here and is inspired by a beloved classic children's story Miss Rumphius written and illustrated by Maine's own Barbara Cooney. The story of Miss Rumphius reminds us all that small acts of love and kindness can create big impact. I especially love this story because it reminds us to always keep pushing to try harder and do better everyday and that our actions matter.
