Shearing Pansy

April 16, 2012

Pansy Shear 4152012, originally uploaded by ontheroundfiberart.

Hello Pansy! Pansy, the newest member to our little homestead, is a German Angora. It's been really hot this week and she has settled in quite a bit so we thought it was the right time to shear her.

Pansy is 6 years old, so this was definitely not her first time getting a haircut- and it showed! She was totally calm and collected. This was however, Evan's first time shearing a bunny. He did a great job! Thankfully he had a lovely assistant to help him. : )

Pansy produced 6 ounces of fiber this time around! I think I'm going to hold on to it for now. It still seems to good to be true!

Thanks Pansy!
