February’s color of the month was inspired by those beautiful pink bits found in January’s color of the month Gratitude. I wanted to create a pink colorway that had the same earthy undertones with lots of layers of color. When thinking about pinks, I am usually more inspired by deeper shades that lean towards purples, much like one of my favorite flowers, the dahlia. After doing a bit of research I decided that various shades of dahlias were the perfect inspiration for this months colorway.
This colorway is first dyed with champagne and then I layer in various mixtures of ecru, rose pink, orchid, and violet. I finish this colorway with Orange and yellow speckles.
February’s color of the month will pair beautifully with Always a Bridesmaid, Fig, Pressed Petal, Beauchamp, Fireworks, Gratitude, Dark Star, Christmas by the Sea, or Brick
Dahlia is available on Plush Single, Spontaneous Sock Yarn in DK and Fingering weight, and Mohair + Silk.

Hand dyed 19.5 micron Superwash Merino Wool

This yarn is certified cruelty free.
Superwash yarn is machine washable in a gentle cycle with like colors, lay flat to dry. I've had a pair sneak into the dryer before and that won't ruin it, but whatever you make will last much longer if you air dry.
This fiber was handdyed by ontheround using professional quality acid dyes. I dye my yarn in small batches and no skein will be 100% the same- that's what makes working with hand dyed yarn so fun!
I do my very best to accurately photograph my yarns but please note that not all monitors are the same. My yarn is made in my smoke-free, pet free studio in Rockland Maine.
