I am pleased to introduce April's Color of the Month, Lincoln Street. This months yarn was inspired by the street that my studio is on, a street that I stroll most morning's before starting my day of work. A few weeks ago, before "social distancing" and "shelter in place" were even a part of my vocabulary, I took a photo on the street that really stuck with me. It was a granite wall with bits of moss and patina that were so subtle, and so beautiful. The dye recipe came to my head almost immediately and I knew it would be a perfect color of the month.
This colorway starts with a soft layer of silver grey and then is heavily speckled on both sides with ecru, aqua blue, bronze and a splash of coral. Lincoln Street will work beautifully with my newest colorways Lemongrass, Oxidize, and Blood Orange. It would also look amazing with Sugar Maple, Sugar Cookie, Beauchamp, Diadem, Eclipse, or Divine Feminine.
Now that our lives have gotten so needfully small, I hope that this colorway will serve as a reminder to appreciate all the little bits of beauty that are always around us, if we only take the time to notice them. <3
This yarn is excellent for baby knits and garments worn next to the skin. This base is also recommended to people who have sensitive skin.
While this is a fingering weight yarn, this yarn is not ideal for socks.

Hand dyed 19.5 micron Superwash Merino Wool
3.5 oz/ 430 Yards
Single / Fingering Weight
Recommended Needle Size: 2
This yarn is certified cruelty free.
Superwash yarn is machine washable in a gentle cycle with like colors, lay flat to dry. I've had a pair sneak into the dryer before and that won't ruin it, but whatever you make will last much longer if you air dry.
This fiber was handdyed by ontheround using professional quality acid dyes. I dye my yarn in small batches and no skein will be 100% the same- that's what makes working with hand dyed yarn so fun!
I do my very best to accurately photograph my yarns but please note that not all monitors are the same. My yarn is made in my smoke-free, pet free studio in Rockland Maine.
